Good Morning!!!

Ladies, I just don't know where my time goes!!  Seems like one day just melts into another and before I know a whole month has passed.  Hopefully my time will be a little more my own for a while and I can do more things (like attending to my blog!) I have great intentions of doing.

I want to remind everyone that we are in the last few days of our May Challenge over at Scrapping Bug Designs.  You don't want to miss out on getting your name in the pot for $50 in free files!!  It's fun and easy to participate so please check it out.  I'll post the details at the end of this post.

Gee have I been loving working with all the cute new SBD files.  Chrissy is so talented and makes the cutest things!!!  I want everything she makes :)  Cute paper piecings just add so much to your scrapbook pages.  You don't have to own a cutting machine to use the files.  You can also print the piecings and cut them by hand :) 

Blog candy give-a-way is coming SOON...I promise!!!  I got a little sidetracked on getting that done this month.  Had to have a cyst removed from my neck and the silly thing put me pretty much out of commission for a couple of weeks.  Please help spread the word about my blog!!

Here are the details on the SBD May Challenge....

Also a reminder.... we are winding down the month of May.... get in on the May challenge....

Your challenge for May is two part...first create a Mother's Day card or Fathers day card using the sketch below...second, make a gift tag to matc...h your card. The following also applies...

1) You must use an SBD file somewhere on the front of your card. You do not have to put a piecing on your tag but the tag must MATCH your card.

2) Post a pic of your project here on the Fan Page.

3) All projects MUST be posted by 9 pm EST on the LAST day of each month. Since these monthly challenges run for the full month, time zones will not be a problem in projects being posted in time :)

One lucky person will win 50.00 in free files to SBD and the 1st 5 contestants get a file of their choice of 5.00 or under!

 

 

Are You Ready for May flowers??!!

Well yall, vacation was wonderful just too short!!!  We spent 2 glorious o weeks in Hawaii visiting our son, DIL, and granddaughter.  It was so hard to tell them bye.  We'll be going back in 3-4 months so we do have that to look forward to.

I've spent the last week catching up on a little scrapping.  It's alway good to get back into my scrap room...that's my therapy :)

Afternoon Yall :)

I didn't realize it has been a couple of weeks since I posted here on my blog!  Hope everyone is enjoying some beautiful spring weather.  It has been absolutely awesome here in the Heartland!  Wearing shorts the middle of March is amazing!

I have been busy working with the great new files Scrapping Bug Designs have on their website.  Such fun to work with and soooo easy to use.  I'll post some pictures below of a few of them.

March Fun :)

 March has arrived so spring is just waiting to make her  appearance.  I know our weather has already been springlike and I love it!!

Great Challenge at Scrapping Bug Designs!!

Happy Valentine's Day Yall!!!  Hope you are all having a really great day!

Just wanted to give you the heads up on the latest challenge going on at Scrapping Bug Designs.  Hope you will design a project to share :)

Here's the info...

*******CHALLENGE TIME********

Okay! My thoughts are changing from Valentine kisses to Springtime wishes!! So with that in mind here is your challenge :)

Design a "Springtime" project as follows...
...
(1) You must use an SBD piecing on your project.
(2) You must also use at least 3 (yes 3) different papers in your design.
(3) And last but not least your project must have some flower embellies!!!

Post your lovely "Springtime" themed project (or projects) on the Fan Page no later than 9 pm EST on February 29, for a chance to win $15 in files :) Each project you post earns you an entry! One winner will be drawn from all entries. It would be most helpful when you post your project if you would specify that it is for the "Springtime" challenge :)

Yall have a bit over two weeks to show us your stuff!!

More Fun at Scrapping Bug Designs :)

Hey Yall !!  There is a sweet little challenge going on over at SBD!!  Check it out to see how you might win $15 in files :)   Here is the info from the SBD Fan Page on Facebook...

Hello everyone! We have challenged our design team ladies to create a card using a sketch. I thought we would extend the challenge to our fans too! Remember you can switch directions of the shapes etc. A sketch is just a starting point.

RULES...it must be a card based on the sketch, "love" themed, include a SBD paper piecing (of course) and a sentiment. The sentiment can be a stamp, something... printed etc.

DEADLINE...must be posted to our fan page by 5pm Friday, Feb 10th
PRIZE...I will pick one random winner to receive $15 in free files (non sale)

Good Morning!

Here it is the last weekend in January and I am wondering "where did this month go"!!!  Don't know about you but time seems to fly in my little world :)  Maybe it's because I stay busy scrapping most days.  When you do something you love time never drags!

Here are the projects I made this past week.  I am so proud of myself for actually getting all of my Valentine's Day scrapping done BEFORE the day!!  Please visit me on eBay so that you can see all the pictures of these items.  My eBay link is just to your right here on my blog :)


This one page layout was made using one of the sweet squirrels from the "Our Love is Sodalicious" file. I just modified my squirrel by using skunk colored paper (LOL) and adding the "whites" of the eyes from the "Owl Always Love You" files to the face...and there you have it...a skunk!!

This is a set made with another of my little "mix and match" skunks like I described above , the "Kiss Me" file, and a little "Stinker" tag that is my own design.

Here is a really pretty title piecing made with the "Forever in Your Heart" title file.

More cute skunks highlight this page grouping made with the "Stinkin' Sweet" files.

Here is a really fun layout I designed using the "bugs n kisses" files.  I just love this!!

These are such sweet goodie boxes I made using the "Easter Box" files.
